Profile

The S.S.C. Medical & Educational Trust founded in 1993 started the C.K. School of Nursing with an annual intake of 20 students and is functioning till date with recognition from Tamil Nadu & Indian Nursing Council.

The School is equipped with all facilities according to the INDIAN NURSING COUNCIL. There is adequate and well qualified experienced teaching Staff. The Library is equipped with adequate books, including National and International Journals. Hostel and Mess facilities are attached to the school. Twelve Batches of students have successfully completed the course securing many distinctions and are working in India and abroad.

1. Clinical Experience under supervision is given at Government Headquarters Hospital, Erode.
2. C.K. Multi speciality Hospital and its Annexe.
3. Primary Health Centre, Modakurichi (Rural).
4. Urban Maternity Centre, Erode.
5. Institute of Mental Health, Chennai.
6. H.C.G. Centre of Oncology, Erode – 11.
7. Nallasamy Hospital (Dialysis), Erode.
8. Senthil Multi Speciality Hospital (Neuro), Erode.

The C.K. Hospital has the following departments and is functioning since January 15th 1975.

4. Obstetrics & Gynaecology,
5. Neurology & Surgery,
6. Othopaedics.

The Special Departments are :

1. Coronary Care Centre with ICCU and Echocardiogram.
2. Critical Care Centre with Ventilator.
3. Trauma Care Centre.
4. Premature and Neonatal Care with Incubators and Paediatric Ventilators.
5. Diagnostic – Radiology, Sonography - (Ultra Sound, Echo Cardiography), Tread Mill, Laboratory – (Clinical & Biochemistry).
6. There is a fully equipped Physiotheraphy Unit and,
7. 2 Major Operation Theatres - 1. Minor Theatre, 2. 1 Labour Theatre fully equipped.
8. Dietary Department.
   On completion of the Course – Diplomas are issued by the Government and is then registered in the State Registration Council, Chennai.

MISSION

Our mission is to prepare students not only academically but also to imbibe in them to develop good qualities, so that they may grow like Florence Nightingale in stature & personality. We also hope to prepare nurses to meet the needs of our rural population and also abroad. We wish to prepare them to be little lights shinning in the areas of darkness. The nurses hands and the agility will help tend doctor to treat cases to a large extent.

VISION

Our vision is to upgrade the institution to prepare graduate nurses for India and abroad as our institution is attached to a multispeciality hospital.
